Cautionary note: The source of Equip spanners has been researched
in many GMH and other publications by retired Holden people and no
evidence has been found that GMH made any spanners, so we must
conclude that Equip spanners were unlikely to have been made by
GMH. If anyone can add some information on this topic, please make
contact via the Contact form on this website.

were possibly made by Gregory Steel Products, as some of
these spanners were collected from the factory by a
former worker (WA pers. Com.) Type 2.4b. Equip motif in the centre of the shaft, with the jaw sizes (AF) either side on the front of the shaft; left jaw the larger size, pointing up ; reverse with S.A.E. BOLT SIZE in the middle of shaft and the jaw sizes (of the bolt) either side. Type-X Unclassified Five sizes seen so far, no sizes marked. This series have polished jaws and most have a GMH in a circle stamped on the large jaw. Large jaw to the right, facing down. The two largest ones have a triangle mark in the stem, pressed in - looks like a military mark. See below. ![]() |

Type-Xb Unclassified Structurally the same as the spanners above, however the GMH mark has been stamped slightly to right of centre on the shaft. Large jaw to the right, facing up. |
